Beautiful shot. Being a ship buff, it immediately grabbed my attention ;-)

It might be the colours, the setting, the smoke from the funnel but this looks like one of those romantic travel posters from the 1930sA great composition

What a beautiful boat, didn't know that they were still around. Certainly looks much better than those modern floating blocks of flats!

This is Tony's wife. I don't comment usually, just view photographs over Tony's shoulder. This photo is stunning. I love the rocks in the foreground and the break water leading your eye to the lighthouse with this beautiful boat steaming into harbor. Very pleasing composition that I can't take my eyes away from. Thanks for the nice comments everybody! We certainly are lucky to have this grand old vessel still sailing. At one time there were dozens of these ships crossing all of the Great Lakes, and there were 6 or 7 sailing out of Ludington alone to multiple Wisconsin ports. They would sail around the clock and all year long. They were build for the worse conditions the Great Lakes could toss at them, and almost never stopped running, even thru the worst of storms.
