Nice back lane with quirky local name, in amongst pasture fields near to where I live in Wensleydale. Any comments welcome, particulalry on composition and whether all the competing angles work together?
This reminds me of the half year study that I did in Bangor, North Wales, back in 1993. I loved the landscape there...
Good work this picture. I have no trouble whatsoever with all the lines, in fact, there is a lot of tranquility in this picture. I could sit here for hours... almost feel like I've been there.
There are different angles but the main and dominant part is the road leading over the slight hill towards the distant hills. So they don't really compete.
This composition succeeds, for me, because there is enough 'weight' from the left side trees and grass oval to keep my eyes from leaving the image as they travel down the lane. I think very wide views are very, very difficult to pull off well, and you have done so here quite beautifully.
