This is very difficult to print. It's split graded with a base exposure of 30" @ Grade 3 and 5" @ Grade 0 plus a lot of edge burning and corner burning at Grade 0. The print is too big (9.5 x 9.5) for the scanner, so this is a negative scan which is pretty darn close to what the print looks like. (There seems to be a lot of light fall off on the perifery of this negative which might not show up so readily in a less high key situation.)
Thank you all for commenting. There was indeed a sense of peace and calm here. Fog around here isn't as common as I wish it were, and when it does roll in I'm usually on my way to work, so I was very glad to get a morning like this with all the time I wanted to make photographs.
