John, that's fantastic. So much drama. The placement of the tree root in correlation to the clouds and the darkened left bottom side is just right. Feels right.
I still have a hard time understanding 47mm lenses on 4x5. I shoot with a 210mm and think that's too wide sometimes...
Great work!

Thank you for the feed back!
Bonk, This is pretty close to a straight scan, I have used a curve adjustment but no burning or dodging yet. Is your question because you feel it needs it or because you feel it has been overdone? I do not use a centerfilter so there is almost a two stop difference from the center of the image out to the edge, this is because the lens is so wide it causes light to fall off. The natural light was very dramatic when i made this image.
Thanks again,
jb
"there is almost a two stop difference from the center of the image out to the edge".....which works very well here. This is dramatic and powerful. Very well done!
Thanks guys. Mike, it has been an awesome summer, I hate to see it coming to an end. I hate boring blue sky, but that could be a great time to photograph some of the amazing old buildings you have discovered.

Great sky, I just love a cloud cover like this but we don't see too much of this in Oklahoma. We have lots of lakes but the sky is generally not this dramatic. I really like your composition. Very nice.
