Another one from the series of food/equipment shots I'm playing around with. JC pro 100...look ma! no pinholes!
Location
In my kitchen
Equipment Used
150mm +55mm tube
Film & Developer
JandC 100
Couple days past ready, I'd say -- or about one day short of banana-nut bread.

I agree, the limited DOF doesn't really seem appropriate for this subject. No, you probably couldn't get more with that lens at a macro distance, even stopped down to f/22 -- this really calls for a hyper-small lens opening, and let the diffraction out a little, or a pinhole, or large format type controls. As noseoil said, Front Tilt! Or, with my plate camera, drop bed, which amounts to rear tilt; either way, it'd let you keep more of the banana in focus.

Front tilt!?! Dang guys, I ain't got no $$$ fer a Flexbody! I think I had one with more depth of field but sadly, it had the dreaded JandC pro 100 pinholes.

I don't do much shots with the tube but I'm learning! I *think* my 150 goes down to f/32 or f/22 but I'll need to play with depth of field a little more. Guess the Pro 100 is good for this type of experimentation anyway.

Put it in the freezer and blend it into a milkshake.

No not the Hassy!

I really want the whole thing to be sharp. The curve is nice as is the white surface.

I like the depth of field. It seems more interesting than just reproducing whats there. I like yuor de-composition also!

mmmm freckled banana!!!
Microwave it for 50 seconds, and enjoy!

he picture is interesting, since you have focused the attention in the "stem"
