Ross in the Jaws

I've been working on an affordable soft focus lens idea. This is made with a rather pedestrian projection optic that I have modified. Can't afford a Pinkham?

That's a pretty interesting look you have there, Jim! The lighting is really wonderful, and the highlights sing like a gospel choir. Impressive!

Egg slicer? Maybe for oranges. I bought it on ebay for a few bucks as a prop. It is old. Keith, not out of focus, but soft focus. You can easily read all of the writing on the lens in the negative. A good soft focus lens layers a diffused layer over a sharp background for "glow". Background was white canvas which is beyond dof but reflects a mottled look. Soft focus is an acquired taste. It's OK to hate it.
