The texture on those petals is very pleasing to me... What did you scan the negative with? I sure this will make a successful print...

I'd love to see this with the lens wide open front tilt to keep the rose in focus. If possible, you might also consider removing the twig right above the front rose. Very nice texture as mentioned.

A little more contrast too perhaps?

MVNelson: A Epson 4870. Yes, I`m sure this neg will print very nicely. I think the texture is from the strong sidelighting(window), and I used a silver reflector to add some light at the "front" of the rose.

Texture is the first word that came to mind, then I saw the other posts. The background looks fine, but maybe the rose does stand on its own....
