This is my dog's favourite place to sit out at the lake. He's got a stick just in case someone might want to throw it for him. We called him Romeo because he would hump anything regardless of species or gender. (we almost called him Clinton) He's a border collie - australian red heeler cross and the smartest dog I have ever had.
Lovely shotand great colours. The stick across one leg but held under the other paw is so reminiscent of these kind of dogs. I like the way foreground sharpens steadily as it gets nearer the dog then is suddenly completely out of focus behind.
The past tense indicates he is no longer around. My guess is this print was done a number of years ago if it is Supra II. I was given a little Supra III a few years ago and even that was old when I was given it. Good paper and forgiving to use. Real analogue RA4 stuff. Not so sure about recent Fuji paper which might be great in laser governed mini labs but may not be ideal for the home enthusiast.
We all obey the prime directive which is propagation of the species, it's just that dogs are more honest and of course more vulgar about it.
Thanks P. Romeo is still with us. I guess the past tense thing is my quirky writing style. This shot was taken last summer. I am just starting colour processing and obtained some supra II to fool around with until I figure out the process a little better. This is actually an 8X10 crop of about a 16X20. This was printed the same night I posted it. Burned a sheet or two or more to get the colours to look OK.
I like your last sentence!!
