Romantic Wanderer Series #15 - Drowning

This group is in an ordered sequence from #12 - #16, beginning to end.

This particular series of the Romantic Wanderer was inspired by Nicole Kidman in The Hours - the image so captivated me, I felt compelled to do something with it, as I have always been inspired by literary works and figures. My father passed away and I thought this greatly represented the emotional struggle and emptiness I went through at his loss.

I am using the term Romantic in the sense of Romanticist Art - instead of grand vistas, I am choosing a microcosm which reflects the emotional state of the lone figure engulfed in a environment he no longer is connected to.

Again, thank you for allowing me to share my vision.

He doesn't appear to be drowning here...

He looks more like Crocodile Dundee looking for his next catch. ;-)

Very clever indeed, Marco - as I chuckle.

There is always something lurking in the waters - especially in the swamps. Good thing my subject pools are only a couple of inches deep, or I would find myself in danger - ha ha.

One must always test the waters before entering, for me, it's usually the temperature.

Cheers and thanks for sharing.
