If you click on the image the new image brought up looks better. I have complained about the compression algorithm used in this gallery until I'm blue in the face. Nothing changes.
Bob, as an FYI I upload my images at 1100 pixels on the long side and use the options in PS, File-Export-Save for Web. For some reason they turn out better that way. Also all files saved for web viewing should be sRGB and not AdobeRGB. I generally ask people to click on the image to see it better represented.
It is what it is on Photrio. Even though many of my images are slaughtered by the gallery software I still enjoy sharing what I have been up to.
@Eric Rose Thanks Eric, I have often wondered why our images are so poorly displayed. Thank You for the advice. It sure would be nice on the other hand for all of us to be able to sit down at a nice BBQ and share real prints
