I've printed this negative with and without the thin treeline. I think it works both ways, but the sense of scale is truly striking with the line as a frame of reference. What are your thoughts?
Daniel, very nice work...but I can go either way with it. With the tree line, it does have depth and scale like the above post mention, but by covering up the tree line I think it takes on a nice abstract look...and rather than clouds, it could be anything.
Thank you all for looking and commenting. Mike, your comment goes to the heart of my question- the inclusion of the trees anchors the scene to "reality", but does it also discourage viewers from considering alternative interpretations?
