thanks all for the kind comments. I normally use FP4, but whenever I'm faced with a long exposure that will not be improved by the added time for reciprocity, I reach for the Acros.
John: thanks! I use 1.5 mil A to 10.5 ml B to 450 ml distilled water. I use Thornton's recommended partial stand development: gently agitate for the first minute, then 2 gentle agitations every 2 minutes, then dump. It does seem to tame the highlights well. I've also begun stopping development with water and using TF4 fixer. Happy Thanksgiving!
