Roadside Rest

A brief mini series of images done yesterday with a Pinkham Smith Series V Synthetic. I bought a 5X7 Speed Graphic so I could use the curtain shutter with this lovely barrel lens.

I have no idea how you managed to achieve this dreamy effect, but it certainly works perfectly. The framing, with the door open and the field in the background gives the photograph great depth.

A lovely photograph, but come on, the numberplate has surely been fixed!!!

I would love to know more about this lens.

Happiness is a 5X7 Speed Graphic and a '39 Ford :~'))

The lens is a wonderfully overpriced landscape meniscus that happens to say Pinkham & Smith.

I want one!

Thanks to all who commented! My favorite of the 3 was the middle one where the truck is lost in the trees backlit but no one commented on it. So it goes. Maybe too much tension with all the contrast.
