Terrific contrast Ken and I agree it looks like an IR shot. I have never used my 35 mm shift except for architectural shots. This encourages me to try it out. Is it the widest lens you have?

Cheers

No, my widest is the 24/2.8. The 35/shift is my preferred axe of choice for landscape work, though. It's kinda a poor-man's 4x5 with movements. Also, it's extremely easy to build 5-frame panaramic merges with the E-system. Just take five pictures with the lens shifted to each of the five primary markings working left to right. These merge easily.

The IR look is a result of the red filter in combination with the polarizer. The camera is pointed directly east and the mid-day sun provided for maximum polarization.

I did have to accentuate the blackness of the sky a little. This particular OM-4 suffered from flying shutter strings and I had a hoop in the sky I needed to black out.

Red and polariser are a great combo and very well used here. The clouds are almost luminous. Great
