River Swirl, Drupkelders, SA

I saw Andrews foam image and thought I'd post this. Taken in a deep ravine after a very steep climb down. I was with family so was rushed along, but this is the first image from a collective that I am pretty happy with. The climb back up was aweful :-)

This is just a neg scan, but it looks nice on Ilford MGFB in Ilford Coldtone dev.

Very, very nice picture. Rather intriguing.

I wish my 'rushed' photos were this well composed, hell I wish the photos I took my time on were this well composed. The white dot in the upper right hand hand corner is what does it for me. It completes the flow, and almost mimics the white tones found in the fore ground.

In addition you didn't run the strongest lines strait out of the corner, which I feel is a cheap trick in order create the appearance of depth in the photograph.

Great photo!

You should try dodging the upper right hand corner, just to see happens!

Yours:

Very interesting abstract. No recognizable objects to provide a sense of scale so my eyes keep exploring the swirls and loops.

All the best,
Daniel
