What was the difference in your approach that accounts for the crispness, Marianne? I'm thinking that it's not the sepia nor sienna, rather something to do with the original lith process. Thanks.

mike, you are correct...the real difference was in the exposure time. in the previous post i had WAY over exposed it....like f4 for 70 seconds...this time i went with f11 for 20 seconds. the reason i tried the bleaching and toning with the previous image was to try to make it somewhat presentable. looking at the 2 of them together now at home, i find them both to have qualities that i enjoy but i do much prefer this and the other re-do that i posted.
