This is an interesting image, but I think could be improved by making the camera level so that that perspective look more natural. I take it you were looking upwards towardes the hill?? Your camera needs a small rotation anticlockwise to make the convergence of the poles more even/balanced. The colors are superb as one expects from Kodachrome.
Actually, I lined up with sidewalk running out from beneath the camera, and tried to level the camera - I have a pan head with built-in levels. I chose the lateral position of the sidewalk, to deny the scene at left and bring in the elements at right. Without perspective controls, I think I have to live with what I got. I did elevate the camera about 10 or 15 degrees to balance the vertical elements.
I think the homes on the hillside are level.
I'm actually atop a small hill, and road in the foreground is descending about 15 or 20 degrees. And the intersecting street does slope downwards to the left.
Basically I chose the line of the sidewalk, the framing, and then the elevation. And waited as the sun moved among the clouds.
