I'm very grateful to you all for your kind remarks.

Fortunately, the oil slick was not as bad as I might have made it sound. There was a still area along the creek not far from an overpass, so I assume it was runoff from the road. It was a shame I didn't have a back with color film loaded, because the rainbow iridescence splashing across the frame was pretty psychedelic.
