very nice. I just got some weston parch. and this is to replace the platinotype paper. I'm sorry I can't get my prints to print out like my prints on the old platinotype paper I still have from 2001. ( i seem to be getting into a routine. Azo and now platinotype hummm). does any of the Pt/Pd printers out there know of a good white paper that can be used for this printing. Azentz's book names some paper companies but you guys have the expreince.

Hello Michael! Part of the refining of this image is to find a different paper other than Weston Diploma Parchment. I had good luck with Fabriano Aristico "Extra White" for a while, then the last batch I bought has been a mess. Even with a soak in 2% Oxalic acid, I am getting very small white specks (actually looks like there is no pt/pd there) on most of the prints. It has been a while since I bought any and it is tempting to buy a couple more sheets to see if it has returned to its good old self again.

COT 320 is a nice paper, but again, the last batch I bought was all fubbed up -- ugly grainy worthless stuff. But again, it has been a long while since I bought it and I might buy some to see if it got back to "normal".

But the Weston DP paper is nice, but is too warm for most of my images. My images seem to be not as sharp nor as rich as the two papers above...but that could be due to operator error. Plus the two batches of it I have bought have both had manufacturing defects that stay hidden until wet...very frustrating. I do have some old Cranes Platinotype paper that I might use...that is a nice paper.

What I really need to do is to get the few images printed in Pt/pd that I need to do and then drop pt/pd for a long while and get back into my carbon printing!

It's a really nice image. You've got it perfect as is. I can't stop looking at it, I keep seeing more in it, it has a lot of depth. Good job.
