A moment from my time in Thailand, April 2015. Watching all the elements - statue, people, umbrella - slowly align into place for a picture was a pretty memorable experience.
Yes. Interesting picture. The Buddha is partially covered and so are the two people. The compositional placement is also interesting. Looks like you have a lot of choices in printing as well.
I like how you've got three people in the picture, one looking through an iPad at the buddha (which isn't the same as looking at the buddha right in front of her), one seemingly fixated at a point on the ground, one doing something we cannot, all immobile, as if place on a chess board. And the buddha smiles at it all. Very nice.
You have a great eye Colin - the way the three women here are positioned could almost be a set-up; it makes it all the more interesting because it's not.

i can't put my finger on it ..
maybe it is the woman infront with the umbrella
maybe it is the person looking down maybe? contemplating what she saw
maybe it is the woman with the iPad capturing the buddah .. well, making a head shoulders of him ...
or how the buddah looks like he has been tucked in, and is having a beautiful dream
thank you for this wonderfull " mash-up" !
