Rear, Rodman Gun, Fort Foote

In contrast to the business end of the Rodman gun, this is the rear of the cannon, showing the elevation control mechanism. Fort Foote was named after a Union admiral who died in battle fighting Confederate fortifications along the Mississippi river.

Whew. The detail in the lower range gets my attention. Execution's fabulous, but composition is sweet also.
