Brilliant Phil, these Kallitypes are looking really good, the flare from the door adds to the image for me, makes it more ethereal. Which reminds me I must start doing more Argyrotypes however need to find a suitable paper for it, do you think Arches Aquarelle would do the job?
The flare is there but is not as noticable in the print. There is some detail in the main highlight area(Scanner decided to ignore it). However most people I have shown say that it gives the image a spiritual feel. Light at the end of the tunnel?
Arches Aquarelle should work for Argyrotype. The only issue I have had is that it is difficult to clear residual sensistizer (Cyano and Kalli). The Kallitype issue has been solved by a citric acid(3%) presoak. Actually I just coat the area with foam brush instead of soaking. For Cyanotype I use a citric acid first wash which has helped some but not all cases.
