This is my first attempt at Cyanotype over Palladium. I'm affraid that the scan may not show much if any of the blue from the Cyanotype, but there is some in the print and it looks very interesting. I need more exposure of the Cyanotype to get more blue in the final image, but the amount that is in this one completely changes all the brown/sepia tones of the Palladium to a cool grey/black. I know that I'm going to try more of this technique.
This image is lighter than the real print and the color tone in the print is definitely more blue/black. On my monitor, this image looks like a silver print. The original has a lot more density range. The negative is 8 x 10.
I don't know why it is, but my scans of platinum/pladium prints just don't come off with the same tonal range and depth as the real thing.
