This is a terrific photo both aesthetically and technically. I love this kind of photography - i.e., exploring everyday objects and drawing out meaning via the photographic process. Good work.
Thanks. This caught my eye walking home one evening I thought it resembled a flower. The thumbnail better represents the image I think. A good candidate for a small print perhaps.
So many comments! Why? Because the stark contrast makes this image more than real, but not nakedly surreal. This is truly where B&W shines over color. This is a pure example of a counter towards people who complain that there is nothing to photograph in their respective neck of woods and, in sum, 'need to travel to see more aesthetic possibilities'.
