Seems the expression/posture isn't flattering/idealized, but maybe that of one who just finished a huge task & is just whupped. Those variants from the normal happy face seem quite valuable to me & likely to those that know the subject. I have non-ideal portraits of loved ones that I treasure but haven't/don't post. I'm glad you posted this one. Beautifully executed.

I really like it, and the wonderful 3D effect that you are getting with that lens.

An unusual and most interesting portrait, the subject obviously at ease with you, and a slight facial asymmetry just making him seem all-too-human.

I would invite all of you to take a closer look at who this man is and what his history is. Although he didn't tell me so outright I believe this portrait depicts a mans personal triumph.

It does indeed show a grand appearance for what I know of Ralph. Looking good ! There is still so much life behind those eyes, and so much more to give to the community. Bravo to you for having the great fortune to spend time with him.
