Rain Forest Detail

I rarely make 4x5 carbon transfer contact prints, but the density range was just right, I had to print it as is without enlarging onto copy film. Maybe I'm getting lazy. Maybe I should have shot this on 8x10 film to begin with! Oh well... I'm quite happy with this little guy.

A lot to like here. The texture of the image is heightened by the texture of the medium. Speaks lush.

I would like to know more of how you judge "the destiny range was just right".

Thanks for commenting, Michael. I use a densitometre with UV setting to confirm. With this negative, I'll be able to print on silver gelatin papers, carbon, and other alt process. This print isn't tack sharp as one has to print backwards on the tissue in order to maintain correct orientation in the print. I could have printed it backwards, but it bothers me, compositionally. I prefer the wish-bone twig on the left.
