Yes, but no two pieces of peeling paint are the same! Love the contrasting colours, cropping the top and bottom intensifies this contrast I feel.

who cares if peeling paint as a topic is overworked? this isn't a photograph of peeling paint, per se (at least how I see things). i like this photograph. i'm considering it a palette of colors and textures where all elements come together to create an ambiance with interesting shapes that causes the mind to wonder what it may be of. those are classic qualities.

I love the color. Got to have the peeling paint images, but I thought you were not a big train fan. Nice work.

Many thanks, Tony, Perry and Michel. I really appreciate your comments.

Tony I see what you mean about the crop. What I show here already has some top/bottom crop, but indeed, the central section framed by the bolts is where the money is. Perry, I suppose that I do need to think more about colour as expressive in its own right, rising above the literal subject. I do tend to forget that. Yep Michel, not a big train fan, but that's mostly because of the way they are nostalgified. But this yard had tremendous macro opportunities, I will go back with a view camera.

P.S. Michel I will soon be much closer to you, I am moving to Alexandria in July, if all goes according to plan.

Interesting study in color, Keith! (Haven't cranked out your print yet, sorry).
