I would not have thought to go so high-key, but that bloom draws me like the doomed moth. I have dozens of attempts, but none I'm happy with. The bloom lends itself to the whispy, high-key approach.
 
To my eye, this looks like an artist's rendering in graphite or silverpoint; something I love the look of but have not worked up the ambition to try. In short, well done!
