To see the comparison I tried to log on to the 1956 photo. My browser said it found the site but I was forbidden to view it.

This may be only a problem for me but if there is a no entry block to the site whose address you give, then no one will be able to make the comparison.

Pity.

I changed the URL to another that should work better. At any rate it's the "Ecluse a Bougival" one, which should give proper google results.

Gay, same reaction for me. When I looked at the contact sheet, I thought, meh, let's just try it. But the guy looking back really works with the other lines of sight.

Yes, it is the man on the right that makes the comparison a valid one. Very nice.

I've long been fascinated by this shot of HCB's. The dog!! Decisive moment for sure.
