Haunting images... The stories of the lives left behind here are earth shattering. I once saw an art project of an Ukrainian artist, a kind of documentary, where the artist interviewed survivors of the "cleaning up" operation, intermingled with some really horrific images of the nuclear mess and the people working directly in it, after the blast.

I really think anyone in favour of nuclear energy, should visit this place once. When do we finally give full emphasis to safer and less destructive sources of energy in the form of true renewables?
