print on a tile!

My first recognizable success in making an image on a tile. Palladium sensitizer 2:30 for satista on 5x5 bisque tile bought from Dick Blick. Coated with a brush, what a pain, the bisque sucks the liquid in so fast it's hard to get a good coat. Exposed 12 minutes under a bank of BL bulbs, it really needs 2 or 3 times that. Processed by dipping the tile facefirst in a small tray of 4% silver nitrate, the cleared in EDTA/citric acid bath with a rinse after.

satista on bisque
Really like how this turned out...not sure I would change a thing. Glad to see someone try this, find the results very nice.

Looks like this stuff needs quite a bit of clearing, I'll have to try some thiosulfate on it, the image has turned dark on me. All a part of learning.

Gary,

You'll have better luck if you size the bisque first.

Don, do you have any suggestions for sizing that will not char when glazed and fired in the kiln? I've come up empty on that aspect.
