Hey, I thought you couldn't bring a camera into a venue like this? Anway, the pretenders opened for the stones a few years ago at Gillette statium...and I hate to say it but they sounded better and had a better song list than the stones! Quite dissapointing.
Drew, yes usually you can't bring a camera into a rock show, but in this case they stated that compact cameras were okay. I saw several people using large (mainly d***tal) SLRs. This was my 21st Pretenders show and I've wanted to take photos of them for 26 years. I wasn't happy with the results from the Superzoom, so I'm considering taking the IS3000 to Saturday's show.
John, you are lucky to have seen the original lineup. I saw them in March 1982. They certainly are amazing. I've never seen them do a lacklustre show.
Gary, they often tour as a main attraction, and have been doing so since the late 1970s. I much prefer seeing them headlining a club show than as just a part of a festival show.
Thanks, pentaxuser. Yes, Delta 3200 was needed, as I was trying to not use flash, and by this stage the sun had set. In my opinion, concert photography is the ideal place to use such a fast, grainy film.
