Are you happy with it Carol ? It does not appear sharp to me.

Oh yes, you can CROP your image in PAINT program also. Its very simple to do, so you get rid of your white scanner edges.

Hi Carol, I think this is the 1st pic of yours I've seen... and it has a lot of potential IMO. I agree with the others, I'd like to see something sharp, most likely the body of the plant. I do like the black, subtle tones on the stem and stonger light on the flower bit (I don't know what that might be called!)

As an upload test, it has worked! If you need help with cropping, yell out and we can see if we can help.

Roy and McPhotoX, thank you for taking the time to comment. Yes I wish it was sharper too. I lost the fine veins that run diagonally across the bud. I had trouble focussing so close, but hopefully will improve with practice. Thanks Nige. I was quite pleased with the lighting which I find the hardest thing to get right especially with close-up. This is the closest I've come to getting what I had imagined. It has at least spurred me to keep trying. Next time I will crop. I just wasn't sure how big the image would be once it got in here.

Thank you Leon. I kinda like it too.
