Nice composition. Really like the highlights on the pottery. The background and left side are kinda dark - may be ok, but the picture in the background suggests that something important is happening there that isn't distinct on this version.

Would like to see a comparison scan from a 'real' print. This image begs for a warm-tone paper.

Coffee is best, I think, from a pottery mug. I buy one anytime I see one, and would buy this one too. I like the way the light mug stands out, and like the way all the lines in the background, going in different directions, seems to work. The darkness and the photograph add mystery. Is this another picture in which nothing was moved, or was this arranged? Either way, I like it a lot.

I confess, this is arranged. These are my things and the picture is not part of the empty house series.
P.S. That light mug is my favorite and definitely not for sale.

I understand having an unusually strong attachment to a mug. I have one... well I guess I need to do a "mug shot" too and show it off. Doubt it would be as good as this picture though.

Beautiful image, tone, execution. Can you tell us which lens you used?
