8x10 silver contact print

This was made in the parking area of Cleland Rock, an overlook with a view down Slippery Rock Gorge. It was too windy to photograph there but the lot was protected and I discovered this little scene.

Shawn, that looks like a great shot! It's too bad the scan doesn't show all the detail in the field and path that is obviously there.

I like this quite a bit. I am using similar methods myself, Fp4 in pyrocat-HD (only at 1:1:100), Kentmere bromide and Amidol. I have been getting a much warmer tone from this combination however. What formula have you been using when you mix your Amidol, also what toning process do you usually use? Hope you don't mind the questions, it's only because I like the tone of the image is all!

Thanks all! Root, I use the MAS amidol formula he recomended for Azo. I tone in selenium for 3 minutes at 1:100. I get a VERY SLIGHT cool(purple/pink) tone. I doubt it comes across accurately on different monitors...

I'm only using the Pcat at 2:2:100 for JandCPro100 because they quit making it and I have less than 50 sheets left. No point in wasting film figuring out a new dilution. I just took about a minture off my old developing times for printing on Kentmere Bromide. Now that I'm printing on enlarging paper I use the 1:1:100 dilution for other films.

hrm.. I'm also using the MAS forumula, but I am getting a slightly warmer tone than I'd like.. Perhaps my kBr has gone over. Did you get your hands on that horrible chinese amidol yet? hehe
