I got round to trying out my 4x5 extension back on my Horseman980 last weekend. Last night I made some contact prints on Ilford postcard paper. As usual 72dpi on a computer monitor doesn't do justice to the detail in the print. The soft edges are, I think, due to using nearly double bellows extension and the limitations on the light path to the extension back. I think I know what I'll be using for this years World Pinhole Photo day :0)
Just realised effective f-stop with bellows factor should have been f/7 not f/10, anyone know how to edit gallery photo info as I can't work it out myself ?
This is nicely done, the glass looks perfect.
As to editing, go to the gallery, my photos, then click on this one.
In the "additional info" section under the description will be an icon that says "edit or delete photo". Click on that and you can change any of it.
Thanks for the comments and help, it was those sneaky little icons that I keep failing to see :0)
I had a lot of fun taking this. Guessing an exposure adjustment of the meter reading to take account of the predominant white(ish) background, then trying to get my head round adjusting for bellows factor, then taking a polaroid 'proof' and having to move the whole tripod back a bit because the MF polaroid holder film plane sits about 25mm forward of the LF holder film plane and I had to keep the lens to film and lens to subject distance the same to keep all the focussing/bellows factor identical (then moving it forward again to take the actual photo). I'm quite amazed I got it right enough first time :0)
