Portrait of Randi

I was shooting some photos for a hair salon and had brought quite an array of lighting gear along for the shoot.I brought both photo floods and strobes for the shoot and we had tried quite a few different lighting schemes. We had been going at it for a few hours when we took a break. I stepped out the back door for some air and a few minutes later Randi followed. It was about 4pm and she was standing next to the door which was white. I saw how the afternoon light was reflecting softly on her features and quickly grabbed my camera and took this shot. Although I liked several of the shots we did indoors with the lighting gear I have always thought this was the best shot of the day. This is a scan of the 11x14 print I had made. Or as much of it as the scanner could handle. The original is not cropped so tight.

Thank you both for your comments. I learned a lesson that day that I hope to never forget. The "kiss" principle.
