I find myself wanting to play with the cropping of it. Is that bad? I like the rectangle of light with the shadow top and side. Interesting portrait.

I would be inclined to crop out that triangle of light on the top LH corner. Otherwise I like the portrait, there is a sense of gentleness of the person captured.
 
I had thought about cropping the light triangle top left corner. It was hidden by the corner cutout on the ground glass during framing. Then I decided that I liked it. It's so not what I would consciously do. The other aspects of the framing, his being low and facing out of the frame are deliberate. I took a number of pictures with different framing that day and this was my favorite. Thanks for your considerate thoughts.
