"Man and Machine" looks at the human relationship to the machinery we create. I am using the spinning disk as my portal because the patterns they create can become hypnotic and provide a access point for investigating a deeper meaning.
I first shot pictures of the legs on 120 film, enlarged and contacted printed them for copies, and then created the cyanotypes on the drawing paper with those films. Then I wash out the paper and flatten it as it dries. I complete the work by drawing with graphite and pastel.
