You can get the end of your rail out of the way by moving the entire rail backward through the rail clamp and sliding the front standard to the front of the rail, butting up against the retaining cap.

the point is i'm totally inexperienced with the sinar and was so dark and in the upper part of the focusing screen that i have not seen the rail at all.

With such an unsual subject photographed in a mystifying wide angle, I am not bothered at all by the rail
