Thanks, Thomas. And yes, of course I made coffee first! The porch is not heated so I had to stay warm somehow. =)
Should mention that I've been very into the more subtle work of Andrew Wyeth lately, probably influenced me a bit.
Shawn - re Wyeth, I have loved his more abstract (a lot of it dry brush) work for years, it often seems to be trying to achieve similar feelings that I do in much of my work. I think I know what you mean.
Thank you, fellows. The longer I make pictures and look at the art of others the more I realize that, for me, it's all about the emotion conveyed by the work. Now I'm relearning to use, or better use, what vision and craft I have to better recognize and achieve that in a print.
Michael, in short: I love my Toyo. Like anything else it has it's pluses and minuses but for me it's just right. =)
