Took the afternoon off today. Think it's time for a REAL meniscus lens - this fake one ain't hacking it anymore. I like the positioning and expression in this shot; just wish I'd used a Petzval instead of that stupid improvised meniscus...

Personally I don't think you should use the word stupid anywhere near this photograph! This is absolutely beautiful! Nothing stupid about it :smile:

Thanks, everyone! For the record, the boy had an orthodontist appointment, and I let him off the hook for the afternoon... :wink:

Perry, I can't get over soft eyes, and this "meniscus" lens just doesn't render anything truly sharp like a Petzval would. The effect is starting to grow on me, though... :smile:
