Pinch/Poke

I bought some "magic lantern" style glass slides (positives) on Sunday at a camera fair.
Monday night I went into the darkroom with my AristaII ortho litho film and duped the slides.
Today I printed them as cyanotype.

I don't know where these slides are from originally.

ouch.....that thing sticking out of his eye........

... is a matchstitch used to help invert the eyelid.
http://tilz.tearfund.org/Publications/Footsteps+11-20/Footsteps+13/Eye+Injuries+and+Infections.htm it's an old fashioned first-aid thing for removing foreign objects from the inside/underside of your eyelid.

I should point out that eye hospitals still invert eyelids as I've had it done and that's how they diagnosed my hayfever  They used a flat metal object not dissimilar to a spoon handle, though.
