Shots taken in downtown Chicago during my pilgrimage to Central Camera in spring of 2013. Taken with a Minolta x-370 that was a gift, new-in-box last year. I've put maybe 1/2 dozen rolls through it and am coming to like it. Contrast and brightness adjusted as I think I would like to print them.
Thank you, gentlemen.Yes, it's analog heaven in a digital world. They sell plenty of digital, but the place is just loaded with almost anything analog you would ever want. On this trip I got 3 sizes of polarizing filters and a Jobo tank to develop 12 4x5 sheets, and old Ben tried to sell me a beautiful stainless sink. That's him at the back counter on google maps. I think he's been there since they opened in 1899. They even took the time to help with a Mamiya tlr focusing problem and I was able to compare mine with 4 other bodies they had on the shelf. I try to get down there every time I go to Chicago, if only to just look around at all the cool stuff.
I have made this pilgrimage many times, and have photographed this sign as well. (Most recently snapped with my cell phone last weekend.) I highly recommend their house-brand FB matte paper. Nice print, by the way.
