Pier, Gulf Shores, AL

We have a lot of piers, primarily used for fishing (but also to take quarters off of tourists so they can look through those coin-operated telescope things they have on the pier) here on the Gulf. I made a long exposure on Velvia 50 on day around sunset.

Thank you for looking.
Location
Gulf Shores, Al
Equipment Used
Minolta Autocord
Exposure
12s-60s depending on particular light reading
Film & Developer
Velvia 50 (120 size), standard E-6 processing
Lens Filter
B+W ND1000 (ten stop Neutral Density)
Luscious color. I want to lick it all over, like candy!

The full size scan is 5000 pixels (shh!) on each side and you can see each individual piece of wood. It also looks amazing on a light table and with a loupe. Actually, I think it looks even better with the loupe. Velvia is a fantastic slide film and it really fits in with what I'm trying to do with my photos.
