Thank you agman, Doc W, Bruce, and JP. I just replaced what I had origiannly posted with a slightly revised version that cropped out some distracting little trees on the right and lost a bit of the cloud on the right as well.
What I find interesting and sort of incongruous about this picture is the chrome of the ladder. It immediately draws your attention and then the theme of two sort of replicates itself in the clouds and the two dark clumps of bushes. And perhaps even the two mini islands. Another beautifully executed picture.
Thank you for your comments, Michael, Cliive and gene! Michael, there is deliberate rhythm even in the cast shadows of the ladder. I must have sensed all of that, but I really appreciate it being articulated.
Thanks for your comments, jp, Totc and k. The problem with a personal splash here is that a gator might notice! Not a good thing! This pier is a fine place to fish from at high tide. I have no idea what the likely catch would be.
