It is the 'Cleopatra something from the past' that kind of bums me out about this picture. I like your stuff when it isn't 'borrowing' better.

an explanation on how this came to "life" could be in order..

I was going to take some images of this lovley friend of mine, in a place that had a studio.
the same place was a place where all kinds o fthings can happen.
you can photograph - develop - make sculptures - leather work - dye your clothes - graphic printing and so on. free of charge! (it's Denmark, you know)
as we went there, I noticed some guys working on making handcrafted viking accessories. Swords and this: a chain..something (I forgot the english name)
I asked if I could borrow it, and then we tool this image.
I was kind of amused/fascinated that a prop, so directly pointing to the Nordic Mythology, actually pointed to the old Egypt (it was not on purpose - It just happened)
after this experience, I have done SO many "portraits" with strange head pieces (half a globe once...) to see where it would bring me..

So I see your point intirely, but personally I sort of like it.. (maybe because of the story..)
