Salt print from calotype. 7x11 inches.

You can see the earthen "hornos" ovens in the foreground. The real print is a warmer than this, but I don't know how to match it better.

This is a first attempt at making a salt print from a calotype.
Location
Rancho Petaluma Adobe, Sonoma County, California
Equipment Used
Foamcore sliding box camera, Wollensak Velostigmat
Exposure
2m15s at F/8
Film & Developer
Homemade calotype, Greenlaw's process

Salt Print
New nickname: Fox Talbot ;-) I really love this print.

Foamcore tripod?

I love that place (lived in Calistoga)...and you seem to have found it in the mist of time...

@jtk Ha! No, but a simple wooden platform with bungee cords and cup hooks to strap on homemade cameras... Now that I'm better at making calotypes, I've been meaning to go back to the adobe. Thanks for reminding me. That would be a good project for the upcoming holiday time off.
