Dear Stradibarrius;
Suprisingly, this is nearly a straight print with very little manipulation. There is some burning in of the boulder at the base of the tree and some dodging of the deepest shadows at the trunk but the sky required only the normal burning at the corners for fall off. The sky, after the storm, was the deepest blue I've ever seen at such a low altitude. The difference between this print and a straight print is very subtle but I just can't help myself.

I'm sure the tones are outstanding. my monitor makes it look somewhat flat which bothers me because I would love to see the original. great work

Dear Michael9793;
I use Ansco 130 for most of my prints but in this case I needed to tweak the contrast a little and find it easier with the Beer's. I find the new Oriental so different from the original, that it's still a learning process.
