I just love this one. I like a lot of what you do in B&W/traditional work, but this one is so simple and charming. Technically fun to see too....

It would take a brave, tough man to attempt yo ride this through London nowadays with the traffic. Jack Reacher is a possibility but only because he alone can incapacitate the 200 vehicle drivers who will swear at him and generally exercise zero tolerance

Visibility would be good, though!

I am not quite old enough to remember farthings in circulation. Or to see these bicycles in normal use

@grahamp This one is merely a signage prop for a clothing and gifts store on Museum Street, Thomas Farthing's. Given the overall condition, even though it appears serviceable, I doubt I'd want to try and ride that one - it looks like it would live up to its nickname, boneshaker.

Trivia - the English system of ranking bicycle gearing in 'inches' comes from the equivalent diameter of the front wheel of one of these things. A really good gear range would be in the low 20's to just over 100".
